چکیده
Once the flood overtopping accident of a reinforced tailings dam occurs, it will cause great property losses and serious environmental pollution to downstream residents. In order further study microscopic characteristics hydraulic erosion dams, considering that beginning particles is basis flooding in this paper, facility was used carry out particle start-up test with reinforcement spacing 5.0, 2.5, 1.7, 1.3, 1.0 cm, influence law critical incipient velocity different revealed. The results show that, smaller spacing, larger sample. Based on sediment motion theory, assumed resistance direction opposite direction. A coefficient introduced establish formula particles. This model can provide theoretical support for rate dam.

Incipient Motion of Sediment Particles over Loose
New experimentals work were conducted to study the effects of sediment deposits’ thickness on the incipient motion of particles in a rigid rectangular channel. The results show that the deposits’ thickness significantly affects the channel’s ability to erode the sediment deposits. New equations were derived taking into account the effects of deposits’ thickness.
